Fox & Fowle Architects, P.C. is an
architectural, interior design and planning firm located in New York City.
The firm provides a complete range of design services—from master plans,
feasibility studies, program analysis, and site selection through
post-occupancy evaluation—for projects of every type, size, and scope.
In recent years the firm has been honored with numerous design awards,
including the coveted Medal of Honor by the AIA New York Chapter, two
awards from the AIA New York State, an Honor Award for Outstanding
Architecture for the National American Institute of Architects, and four
awards from the Society of American Registered Architects.
Robert F. Fox, Jr. and Bruce S. Fowle formed Fox & Fowle Architects in
1978. Since its inception, the firm’s practice has been diverse, with
much repeat work in the planning and design of corporate headquarters and
office buildings, commercial and institutional interiors, cultural and
educational facilities, residential buildings, mixed use, adaptive reuse
and renovation projects.
In 2000, Jambhekar Strauss, founded seven years earlier by Mark Strauss
and Sudhir Jambhekar, merged with Fox & Fowle. Mark and Sudhir joined
Robert Fox, Bruce Fowle, Daniel Kaplan, and Sylvia Smith as Principals in
the firm. The combined practice offers expanded design, programming, and
planning expertise in: corporate, civic, and transportation facilities;
residential, hospitality, office and mixed-use projects; cultural,
educational, and not-for-profit institutions; and interior environments.
The firm is divided into four studios: Planning, Educational/Cultural,
Public Work, and Commercial—each of which is directed by a Principal.
